What to Expect

A week of sea air, movement, adventure and companionable calm in Kos.

Saltwater Club is not a luxury wellness retreat, in fact it’s not a ‘retreat’ at all!

It is a small-group (maximum 12 including me) adventure week for women who want to move, play, explore, laugh, rest, try new things and remember what it feels like to participate in life again.

A tranquil waterfront scene with sailboats anchored in calm water, a mountainous landscape in the distance, and a sky with scattered clouds during the daytime. A decorative railing and a walkway are in the foreground.

Think yoga on the beach before breakfast.
Beginner windsurfing lessons where falling in is expected.
Snorkelling in crystal clear water.
Stand up paddle boarding adventures.
Walks to hidden beaches and tiny shops.
Sea salt hair.
Sunset stretches.
Companionable silence.
Incredible food.
The kind of confidence that appears quietly while you are busy having fun.

Person paddleboarding on the ocean with a bright blue sky and some clouds overhead, with buildings and hills in the background.

This is for women who:

  • miss adventure

  • always wanted to try things but never quite felt brave enough

  • are tired of sitting life out

  • want movement without pressure or punishment

  • want to feel strong, alive and free again

Places are intentionally limited. Reserve yours with a £100 deposit.

Clear outdoor pool area with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a building with a mountain backdrop, under a partly cloudy sky with the sun shining.

Absolute beginners are not only welcome here, they are expected.

You do not need to:

  • be “good” at yoga (p.s. there is no such thing!)

  • have tried watersports before

  • be super fit

  • join every activity

  • become a different person before you arrive

Saltwater Club is about curiosity, not perfection. Imperfection is encouraged.

View of an outdoor restaurant or bar overlooking the ocean, with palm trees, tables, chairs, and a thatched roof, under a clear blue sky.

The vibe

No forced vulnerability.
No whistle and clipboard energy.
No pressure to perform wellness.

Some women will try everything.
Some will sit and watch the sea for an hour between adventures.
Some will do both and all are welcome.

This is a week for:

  • letting your spirit show

  • trying things badly

  • laughing at yourself

  • eating some amazing food

  • making friends naturally

  • and remembering that adventure was never reserved for other people.

A rustic outdoor patio area with a stone wall, beige tiled flooring, and a white metal bench with wooden slats. There are several potted plants near the wall, a large clay pot, and decorative items on the stone ledge. Shadows from the railing are cast on the floor, indicating sunny weather.

One of the things I loved most about Kefalos was how quickly the days found their own rhythm.

Saltwater Club is designed to balance movement, adventure, rest and plenty of time to simply enjoy being in a beautiful place.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is compulsory. Every activity is an invitation rather than an obligation.

Here's what a typical week looks like.

A Typical Saltwater Club Week

Day 1 | Welcome to Kos

Arrive in Kos and meet your transfer to Kefalos.

The flights we recommend arrive at approximately 10:50pm, giving everyone plenty of time to travel without losing a day to airports.

After checking into the hotel, settle into your room and get some rest ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 | Welcome to Kefalos

7:45am - Meet on the hotel terrace before taking a gentle walk down to our yoga beach.

8:00am - Morning yoga by the sea.

After breakfast, we'll head along the coastline towards the Basilica of Agios Stefanos. Along the way there will be plenty of opportunities to stop, explore and get your bearings.

We'll visit the Basilica, swim across to Kastri Island for those who would like to, enjoy some snorkelling and spend time exploring then you are free to enjoy a free afternoon.

5:30pm - Gentle stretching and optional journalling.

Day 3 | Windsurfing Adventure

Morning yoga by the sea followed by breakfast.

10:30am - Beginner-friendly windsurfing session.

No previous experience is required. In fact, most people will be complete beginners.

After the session, the afternoon is yours to spend however you choose. Relax on the beach, read a book or potter into Kefalos or simply watch the world go by.

Evening stretch, optional journalling.

Day 4 | Paddle & Explore

Morning yoga and breakfast.

We'll head out on our SUP boards to explore the coastline from a different perspective, stopping to swim, snorkel and enjoy the crystal-clear water.

The afternoon is free to rest, explore or simply enjoy holiday mode.

Evening stretch, optional journalling

Day 5 | Windsurfing Round Two

Morning yoga and breakfast.

A second windsurfing session gives everyone the opportunity to build confidence and enjoy the progress that comes from trying something new.

The afternoon is yours.

Many people choose to relax on the beach, enjoy a leisurely lunch or spend time exploring the local area.

Evening stretch, optional journalling

Day 6 | Homeward Bound

Breakfast and final goodbyes before you leave for the airport.

Hopefully with a little more confidence, a lot more sea salt and a reminder that adventure was never reserved for other people.

A black plate with eggs Benedict topped with hollandaise sauce, served with a side salad of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes on a table with colorful patterned tiles.
An old rusty light blue scooter with a broken wheel resting on a tiled patio, next to a pot of red geranium flowers and a tree, with a bamboo fence in the background.

The hotel

Saltwater Club is based at Sydney’s Hotel in Kefalos, a small, family-run boutique hotel overlooking Kamari Bay.

I chose it carefully. There are bigger and swankier hotels on the island, but we are not looking for pomp and ceremony. We are looking for somewhere warm, unique and quietly special, with excellent quality, incredible food and a feeling you cannot manufacture.

Sydney’s has that feeling.

Breakfast on the terrace. Boats bobbing on the bay. Delivery vans arriving with eggs and cheese. Staff who greet people like old friends. A view that stays with you.

It felt like home from the moment I arrived, and I hope it gives you the same feeling too.

Book your place

Saltwater Club is intentionally small and places will be extremely limited.

If Saltwater Club sounds like your kind of adventure, save your place now for just £100. I can’t wait for you to join us.

Not sure about travel, fitness level, coming alone, room options or whether this is for you? Ask me anything and I’ll help you decide without pressure.
